In the context of Income Tax, particularly for determining capital gains, fair market value of 2001 Year, or for reporting under the Wealth Tax Act, a Valuation Officer from the Income Tax Department or a Registered Valuer (as recognized under Section 55A of the Income Tax Act) is authorized to certify the valuation.
